We've been asked countless times whether we would release our own pole. For the past year, the answer was no, as our primary focus was on shuttles. That changed when a concept drawing evolved into a viable design for a pole. We're now closing in on the next generation of Livescope poles, built around simplicity, functionality, and stealthy performance.

For Glacier X customers - Past and Present you'll be able to purchase one of these poles in February. We have no plans for a commercial market pole at this time. Main reason being these are all put together in house, milled in house for components and we don't need to go mass production - this will also allow us to keep the unique attributes and give guys an even more custom feel with their setup and keep quality control very high!

Here's what I can say before they debut...

...

The bottom ducer head started from scratch, was no copying needed as I knew what needed to happen that gave guys true 90* perspective mode, locks in place but was still easy to move back to forward and down positions. What’s out there I just wasn’t happy with 100%.

The pole, I have been using a twist grip release carbon fiber pole before someone else brought it to market after basskhang went out of business.... I found the source. It's been bullet proof for me for over 2 seasons and with finding a reliable source for them, I'm bringing them back to life in true form. One size will meet most requirements. Testing, measuring, retesting of lengths on different boats, ice conditions. I love it, have loved it before it was mainstreamed and now soon will be available with my design and color options and a bottom head mount that kicks ass.

The Tripod sleeve. Made in house of HDPE. I went for a stealth approach. I was sick of bulky tripods that weigh a ton (the package is heavy enough right, why have another pound), that make no sense with overwhelming features to catch an eye as "well built" but doesn't actually make a dang difference in our opinions. WATER-FREEZING TEMPS - THEY FREEZE. They all do with enough water, snow, sleet...Now add that to the bulk and it just doesn't add up. Simplified, to the point. Jenny Craig would approve. We're also adding that we'll have free to customer replacement parts on hand and back it up for 18 months. It’s not unbreakable but even -20 F couldn't stop itfor myself.

The Handle - Slim 1/2" x 7" with a single stainless lock nut pivot point on a HDPE cap means a couple things.

1. It matches your shuttle

2. Can be replaced with a folding extension handle (still color matched)

3. Durable - cut from the same sheet as your shuttle - not only is it color matched - it holds the same durable features as your shuttle.

4. Cap with easy thumb screw means positioning your handle to point as needed is a breeze in seconds- line up your ducer to your handle.

5. Folds down, compact to your pole - sticks out .65" roughly - Stealthy ;)

Legs-

Spanning wide enough for a catch cover hole, featuring un rounded teeth help grip the ice much better than smooth legs. I tested them last year, again this year, made some changes, angle pitches and added features I liked. Swing stiff or swing lose, each leg is locked by a stainless lock nut and tension to your own liking.

Made again of HDPE, they flex and bend to the rigors of sleds, gloves, abuse and keep on going for their slim profile. Did I mention they're color matched to your shuttle too? Stealthy with some flair Id say.

What I've done is tested this product myself. By myself, no paid sponsorships, no endorsements' by others. Why? Because I fish. Because I want something that works, looks nice, is dependable. Sometimes when your own worse critique its best to be as hard on your own design as you can so you eliminate issues later. Not launch a product and call it upgrading or innovating. What I've done is stripped the BS off the pole, kept what mattered, matched colors, shaved a ton of weight and made something super light, durable, fixable on the fly and makes sense from top to bottom.

The entire pole without bottom mount is under 16 ounces.

I've trolled at 10+mph, its solid. So all the guys that worry about that aspect, please don't. We'll be offering out own trolling system come March. Let’s just say we're not going the RAM way on this one.

These will be available for LVS34 first, as I toy with more models personally, we'll expand to the other ducer models.
